Youth in Eastern Europe and Central Asia: from Policy to Action

        Executive director of Association of students with disabilities, Mr Goran Pavlovic, was one of the lecturer of conference on Youth in Eastern Europe and Central Asia: From Policy to Action, which was organized by the World Bank.

Invitation which World Bank send to Association of students with disabilities to participate in this conference is great recognition for work and previous results of Association. On this conference Mr Goran Pavlovic presented participation in Low on higher education changing process, like one of good examples. Proposal for change of Low on higher education followed after  survey on position of students with disabilities, which ADS conveyed as part of Network of Youth and Students with Disabilities of South East Europe.

This background paper was prepared for the World Bank’s European Vice-Presidency in conjunction with the 2007 Rome Conference on Youth in Eastern Europe and Central Asia: From Policy to Action. It builds on the findings and recommendations of the 2007 World Development Report Development and the Next Generation1 by illuminating youth policy domains from the perspective of young people with disabilities.
