Project title: Media campaign ‘Equal in Education’

Fifth in a row, the media campaign that had promotion of inclusive education as its subject (formulated through the slogan ‘Equal in Education’), had a goal of promoting the right of persons with disability to regular schooling. Through billboards, posters, TV and radio jingles and media appearances, the members of ADS team have attempted to point out the unequal position of persons with disability, particularly the young ones, in the process of attaining education.

During the project, the TV jingle has been broadcast for over 4500 times on 47 local TV stations in Serbia, over 3500 times for the radio jingle. During the campaign month, the members of ADS PR team had more than 10 hours of live radio appearances, and over 4 hours of live TV appearances. Along with that, the billboards following the campaign were mostly set in the vicinity of higher education institutions; some of the billboards have remained there for over four months.

The campaign lasted from October 2003 through April 2004.

Project title: BUSH – ADS Bulletin

In order to better inform its membership, partner organization, donors and other interested parties and familiarize them with Association activities, the ADS has started a bulletin covering current actions and projects of the ADS and containing discussions on various issues relating to persons with disability.  We publish the bulletin in Serbian and English language and Braille script. Nine issues have been published so far and can also be seen at the ADS web site. The content, design and circulation of every issue is of higher quality than the previous one. The first issue of the bulletin came out just before the international conference 'Persons with disability in higher education’ in September 2001. The latest issue – BUSH 9 – was published in January 2004, as part of the ‘Equal in Education’ campaign. Publishing of the bulletin has so far been supported from the Hilfswerk Austria, Embassy of Finland, Ministry of Social Affairs of Republic Serbia and Democracy Committee of the Embassy of the USA.
